Hungarian egg soup "Tojásleves"

This is a quick making recipe from Hungary. A classic egg soup, which is being eaten at home.
You'll need:
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 2 liters of water
  • 2 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • 2 medium eggs
  • paprika powder
  • salt
  • ground cumin (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar (10%)
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
Preparation:
  1. Preheat the oil in a soup pot on a low heat, put the flour in, fry it till it's light brown.
  2. Remove the pan from the heat, wait till it's cooled down. Add the paprika powder and make sure that it's not burning. Mix well.
  3. Pour the water in. Add some salt and a little bit of cumin, wait until boiling.
  4. Beat 2 eggs with a little bit of salt in a small bowl with fork. When the soup is boiling, slowly pour the eggs into the soup while stirring with a wooden spoon. Boil for two more minutes.
  5. In the end you can add vinegar and sugar. Add more salt if necessary.
