This soup is popular in Slavic countries and Lithuania. Sour in taste and very delicious. Check it out, if you never tried it before!

You'll need:

  • 6 medium size potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 2 boiled eggs
  • 250 grams of canned sorrel or one good bunch of fresh
  • bay leaves
  • salt
  • dill
  • oil
Preparation:
  1. Finely chop the onion and bake it in a little bit of oil. Chop meat in cubes, add into onion and bake till it's white.
  2. Cut the carrot into rings or half rings, cut potatoes into cubes. Add this to the meat mass and mix.
  3. Add the bay leaves, salt and dill. Pour some water in and boil until vegetables are ready.
  4. Cut the boiled eggs in cubes, add into the soup. Pour the sorrel in. Stir and boil for a few minutes.
  5. Serve with sour cream.

P.S. It is also possible to make it with raw eggs. Beat 2 raw eggs in a bowl, pour them into the soup after sorrel (in step 4) and stir. Boil for a few minutes.
