This soup is popular in Slavic countries and Lithuania. Sour in taste and very delicious. Check it out, if you never tried it before!
You'll need:
- about 200 grams of pork
- 1 carrot
- 6 medium size potatoes
- 1 onion
- 2 boiled eggs
- 250 grams of canned sorrel or one good bunch of fresh
- bay leaves
- salt
- dill
- oil
Preparation:
- Finely chop the onion and bake it in a little bit of oil. Chop meat in cubes, add into onion and bake till it's white.
- Cut the carrot into rings or half rings, cut potatoes into cubes. Add this to the meat mass and mix.
- Add the bay leaves, salt and dill. Pour some water in and boil until vegetables are ready.
- Cut the boiled eggs in cubes, add into the soup. Pour the sorrel in. Stir and boil for a few minutes.
- Serve with sour cream.
P.S. It is also possible to make it with raw eggs. Beat 2 raw eggs in a bowl, pour them into the soup after sorrel (in step 4) and stir. Boil for a few minutes.
